Bouncing it old school... yes, this is an original Johnny Jump Up. We don't have any of those baby play centers... but we have used one of these before! We had a walker, once, too, before they were deemed unsafe... I remember my youngest brother using one of these.
Anyway, after a few minutes of standing there she figured out she could BOUNCE. Watch out, world.
And yes, fully tested for safety. Really. This is a mom, here, folks. Just because she's my 11th doesn't mean I worry any less LOL.
Michael with his barrel at the local Hy-Vee grocery store that agreed to help him with part of his Eagle Project. The other part is leading Boy Scouts to gather food for the rest of the food drive he's organizing, first in spreading the word, second in gathering the food, and last to sort all the donations for the Harvesters organization here in Kansas City, Missouri.
So exciting! Two weeks of hard work ahead :) But very worth it.
Benjamin got another set of birthday cards today, yay! We love that family loves us from afar and shows it by remembering birthdays so much better than we do theirs!!! yikes! We are so thankful! Thank you!

Meet the Mormons! Have to use this as today's picture. We decided we should have stood on the wall and all pointed at the correct poster while covering up the rest. Anyway, only missing Tom! And it was really a great movie.
Go see it!
Jules playing a hand held video game all by herself... getting zombies with plants.
It's our family's favorite game, after all, and she's loved it since she could crawl towards the computer.
My mom sent us extra shirts from my Dad's 50th high school reunion... for some reason, no one wanted size small... hmmm.
Anyway, here are my 10 children, all in the same size shirt, for my mom. Las Vegas High School 2006 reunion.
Ginny was less than thrilled. I think it's funny how well some of them fit it!

Benjamin and his cake. Emilie made and frosted the cake, Benjamin and I decorated it. I claim injury. (but it turned out ok!) I can't believe this young man is 16 years old!
Happy birthday to my 2nd son! We love you and all your silliness and grumpiness, your creativity and your goofs!
My husband and 3 oldest sons going to Priesthood Session of General Conference (see more- http://www.lds.org) I am so proud of them!
General Conference weekend makes me so happy! I love learning more about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We got some rather serious rain. This was one of the heavy downpours, but there were worse ones. Lots of lightning and thundering and shutting down electronics for safety... we never lost power, but it was a very wet day!
These are our awesome picnic tables... all weatherproofed and stained by us... we hope! :)

This is a smaller Michael... no, a Nathanael who works at Worlds of Fun... I'm confused.
Well, he IS Zombie certified. Check out that name tag!
Nathanael's choice of outfits today made him look like someone we know... hmmm.
Today we got our family pictures taken. This is Jules in her pictures outfit... and that's all you're going to get until we see them! From what I saw, I'm excited to see them myself.
One of my good friends took them (she has a photography business and still did this! And all we did was watch her little guy who is the same age as Timothy, while she was working taking pictures of weddings!) I love being able to trade value for value in friendship.
My fourth Bear. Samuel pinning a Bear mother's pin to my ribbon necklace... which yes, already has 3 other bear pins on it and hopefully will get 2 more! Scouts are awesome!
This is for our Shutterfly ThisLife House Party where we got to try out the new photo organizing website, This Life. It's fun because it organizes by stories and you can make books and gifts or just share the pictures.
Emilie's hair is all fancy for the Red Carpet event in our stake where they showed the videos the teens made at Youth Conference. There was also a dance. It was fun to find and execute a new hairstyle with my daughter who is growing up entirely too fast...
The fun that is scripture reading time at our house. haha! A little chaotic... but we read! Together! Sometime I'll write a blog post about how our scripture reading helps our children learn to read... sometimes without any other help or materials at all!
Liberty is working on Kindergarten skills now. (at least we tell her she is... in some things she's ahead, in others, mostly life skills, she's still working.) Remember last year when her Preschool book was sooooo much work? Well, she's nearly finished her Kindergarten book already.
Which just means she needs something else to work on, soon!
Our first or second day after our AC died... we took a nice long field trip so we could cool off. This is in the basement of the Independence Visitor's Center. So... not only was it nicer than being at home, it was a lot of fun and we learned a lot. We also visited the library, Liberty Jail, and Sam's Club. Woohoo!
