We were so excited by the news of the ward boundaries (well, not losing friends, but about meeting in the new building next to the temple!) that for Family Home Evening the next night we went up to the temple grounds to walk around the construction site together. It was a nice night, which we won't have too many more of, and the kids liked walking instead of just looking while driving by... and the van just looked funny from across the pond.
