I took Benjamin and other boys from our ward, including their stuff, and including those who are no longer in our ward due to a reorganization... up to Kearney, MO, to meet others and drive down to Bartle Scout Reservation.  He'll be there for 10 days and we'll all miss him, but especially Juliana.  Benjamin is her buddy.

Benjamin after work.  The kids called it his "Space Football" but it's supposed to be a rocket ship.  I can't unsee the football, though.  He is doing really well with work and actually outsold Michael today... not sure how face painting vs. caricature works, though.

Almost the first official day of summer... our garden is flourishing, but so are the weeds.  First it's too wet to weed, then it's too hot... then we're too busy.  They're doomed... but apparently we're just delaying it and not on purpose.

Otherwise, awesome garden.  Samuel is just checking out the plants.

My youngest Boy Scout... off to 11 year old Scout Camp (11 year olds don't camp with the 12 and up group in the Church troops because they aren't officially in "Young Men" yet and still in Primary... it's cool how they get their own group for their first year though.)  It was hard letting my baby boy go (yes, they're all my baby boys.  Don't tell them.)  He, of course, had a blast.

This was in PJs the night before, after packing.

Our garden-  needs weeding, but the ground is so wet with all the rain we're just letting it go for a bit.  Then it will be easier for the kids to find the weeds, too, right?

A year of "seconds".... this is Tom's second year as Heart of America Council North Star district Cub Scout Day Camp Program Director, Michael and Benjamin's second year as Boy Scout Staff, and Samuel's second year of Day Camp as a Cub Scout.

Aren't they awesome?

Michael is a few merit badge requirements and a project away from Eagle.
Benjamin is a few merit badge requirements away from Life.
Samuel is about halfway to earning his Bear.

Tom is just awesome. I may be a bit biased, though.

I can't believe Liberty is 4 1/2 years old!  She was only 9 months old when we moved from Texas to Missouri (via Illinois).  That means we've been in Missouri nearly 4 years!  It's not the longest we've lived anywhere but we're only a few weeks away from the longest we've lived in one house.

She's growing up so fast!  She's been reading for 6 months now and I forget sometimes that she's only 4... she loves My Little Pony, princesses, and Frozen.

Benjamin is required to have his face painted at work.  (he works for Kaman's Art Shoppes as a body artist- facepainting, henna, rice jewelry).  Here he is with a happy shark.

Benjamin was on a campout.  Martin did this.  He was pretending to need help... you can tell he's a big dragon and really didn't need the help... so I took a picture first.  Silly dragon.

Memorial Day Party!  With Square Chinet plates, it was a blast!  (an excuse for a get together, free plates and spread the word, right?)

30 people, 3 families, 6 adults, 24 kids from those 6 adults... fun stuff.

Michael and Benjamin now both have jobs with Kaman's Art Shoppes at Worlds of Fun Amusement park here in Kansas City, Missouri.  Michael is on his 2nd year as a caricature artist and Benjamin is just starting as a Body Artist (face paint, henna, rice jewelry).

Tom's parents were able to come for his Priesthood ordination as a High Priest.  It was neat having them here and the kids really loved having Grandma and Granddad here again.  Grandma had come to help when I had Ginny, they both came when Ginny was blessed, and now a third time!
