So, we took those jalapeños and our tomatoes and some storebought onions and some green peppers and even yellow peppers from our garden and made and canned salsa!
Awesomeness in a jar.
It could have even used more jalapeños.

We received a generous donation of fresh jalapeños from a friend's garden.
So, we did this.

Also today, we had some fun with homeschooling and Timothy was writing his words on balloons for our new curriculum we are trying (The Good and the Beautiful by Jenny Phillips) (we love it so far!)
And, what do kids that aren't doing homeschooling do? My graduate is playing with my camera.
And doodling. He does make awesome doodles, of faces, here, apparently.

Friday the 4th of September was our first day of school. It was mostly cleaning out last year's stuff and making room and making plans for this year, but we also discussed routines and celebrated a new life- our monarch butterfly emerged!
