Kansas City Missouri temple- October 4th, 2010

Happy birthday Benjamin! Evening again, after Family Home Evening. Enjoying the great day! So much progress on the temple.

Beautiful day... and I guessed this was an elevator shaft for the actual temple building, not something just for construction, and it sounds like I was right.

These pictures were taken the weekend we were without power as we had a microburst blow through our neighborhood (and probably the area around the temple site, as well). Most of the houses in the neighborhood are getting roofs replaced as the damage was so great. We are thankful noone was hurt, and that nothing was too serious.

This week we went in the evening, after Family Home Evening. It was getting dark but we still got some pictures. You can see a structure being built near the crane... we found out later what it is. Lots of work has been done since the beginning of August!

Kansas City Missouri temple- September 5th, 2010

Lots different this week! Still didn't get out of the van with all the kids, but it is definitely getting to be something the kids enjoy. In fact, every time we see a crane Christopher says it's the temple...

Love seeing how much is done each week... I think we only missed the 8th this month... so there were two weeks between some of the early photos.

Kids liked the big trucks this week! Lots of rain and mud...

Kansas City Missouri temple- August 15th, 2010

We skipped a week and visited Sunday before church on August 15th. The kids were amazed how much had changed. We're learning a lot about construction.

Church's official page for this temple.

Sun was in the kids' eyes here, but this is when we took our kids to see where the temple was going to be built. You can see the crane from miles away.

We visited on our trip to Utah in April, 2010. An easy trip as this was less than 2 blocks from my parents' house.
