November 4th 366 challenge

11/4/12

Today I am thankful for this little miss Liberty that has been such a joy in so many ways for the past 3 years... Happy Birthday Liberty!  She is living up to everything we thought of when we first found up she was coming (and that she was a SHE) but we are enjoying every minute of it!

11/5/12

Today I am thankful for the opportunity to homeschool my children. They are growing up to be independent thinkers with a strong foundation on truth. I love this time with them and I think our entire family is blessed by this path we have taken. We've had some great times together.

I get to see faces like this daily!  ALL of them!  (plus, they get this time to spend WITH EACH OTHER!)  I know that they might not appreciate it now, but I love this time and every time I am with my brothers and sisters and parents now, I wish it was for a little longer...

November 3rd 366 challenge

11/3/12

Today I am so thankful for fun things to do with my family.  Here Tom and the kids are on the little train at the Kansas City Zoo.  We got the Family membership and yes, went two days in a row.  That's probably getting our money's worth right there :)  We do love spending time together and this was another great day.

November 2nd 366 challenge (plus Thankful challenge, too!)

11/2/12

Today I'm thankful for all these kids that call me Mom. Each one makes a difference in my life, even the one that isn't around anymore, and the more time I spend with them, the more I like them, and I'll always love them.

We went to the zoo today, to celebrate getting a membership, and had a GREAT day.  I'd post the picture from the end of the day, with half the kids starting to cry, but... I won't.  :)  I think we're going to go tomorrow too, with Dad.

The kids prepped all week by finishing their school stuff early and working ahead so we didn't have to do schoolwork today at all... and it was worth it.

November 1st 366 challenge

11/1/12

Oh, wow, I just LOVE your shoes, Liberty.  I'd chew on them if I could get them off your feet.

Today I am thankful for all we have-  meaning the material possessions, but I guess we'll call it shoes and clothing.  It's good to have clothes :)

October 31st 366 challenge

10/31/12

Out trick or treating as a family.  I was talking to the older kids about how this was really for little kids, but that it was ok, they were helping with little ones.  (and what we learned is that people like that... the older kids were getting whole handfuls of candy as they were praised for helping with little siblings... !) It was a fun, though tiring, night, and fun going to friends' neighborhoods and seeing them, too.

Michael was a tourist, Benjamin was the Phantom of the Opera, Emilie was a witch, Nathanael was a ghost, Samuel was a skeleton, Timothy was a bee, Christopher was a shark, Liberty was Snow White, and Juliana was a pumpkin.
